The Judge's Wife is the second book in the trilogy, "The Jacinta Joseph Caribbean Adventures."
Our
heroine, Jacinta "JJ" Joseph continues her battle against the
patriarchal families that rule the island of St. Theresa. With eight
other grandmothers, she plots a revolution amid an ocean of family
problems with help from her "Auntie" Oni Hiaru, a Carib psychic.
The
book is a study of the relationships between women at different stages
in their lives, the relationships between women and men, and the
relationship of governments to the people they serve.
Libertarians
and Tea Party activists should get a kick out of the grandmothers'
approach to government that is behind the revolution.
